Manuel Garzetta, was born on 1991 in Verona. He began his career in theatre at a very young age as a light operator for numerous play companies in his hometown. Passionate about music, he studied classical piano.

In 2014 he started his professional career with “Ippogrifo Produzioni”, working in various national tours, developing dramaturgical skills through the use of light, especially in greek tragedy. At the same time he specialized in light consolle programming. In 2017 he moved to Milan, where now he lives, to attend the Light Design course at Accademia Teatro alla Scala, under the guide of Marco Filibeck and Valerio Tiberi.

He continued his path in Milan, starting as LD Assistant and Light Operator near Valerio Tiberi. Since 2018 he worked for all new dance productions of Milano Contemporary Ballet. From 2019 he has been following some national musical and play tours as light operator. Under the guide of Valerio Tiberi and Emanuele Agliati, he had the opportunity to work as assistant in dance shows with Roberto Bolle (Bolle&Friends and ONDance) and with other international artists. He collaborates for opera production on a regular basis with Paolo Mazzon, Lighting Designer of Fondazione Arena di Verona, and with Teatro Sociale di Como. Because of the evolution of lighting in the cinematic, short film and advertising reel, During the summer 2023, due to the artistic and professional nearness for Valerio Tiberi and Emanuele Agliati, he officially took part in k5600design.

He’s now taking part in various productions in opera, ballet and musical theatre. Relevant engagements in musical as light operator or light programmer: Dirty Dancing (Showbees, tour 2019); Ghost (Showbees, tour 2020); Fame (Wizard, 2019); Hair (Compagnia della Rancia-MTS!, tour 2019/2020); Rent (STM, 2020); Casanova Operapop (Retropalco, 2021); Pretty Woman (Stage Entertainment, tour 2022-2023); Once (Compagnia della Rancia, 2022); Phantom of the Opera (Broadway Italia, 2023); Fame! (FDF, 2024); Aggiungi un Posto a Tavola (Viola, 2024). Relevant engagements in opera and play as Light Designer or LD Assistant: Barbiere di Siviglia (Musicantus, 2021); Rigoletto-Turandot-Madama Butterfly (Fondazione Arena di Verona, 2023); La Belle Helene- La Rondine - Mahagonny (Teatro Sociale di Como, 2024). Now in k5600design, works often during pre-production to interface correctly between theatres, productions and technicians teams for effective and accurate realization and setting-up of main and articulated lighting plots.
